Few operas continually captivate audiences like Puccini’s La Bohème. From its lush, romantic score to its endearing characters, this colorful tale of idealistic artists makes an indelible impression.

Set in 1840’s Paris,  portrays the challenges of living life on the edge, particularly for Mimì and Rodolfo, whose initial passion is stifled by their impoverished existence. Two professional casts, chorus and orchestra breathe new life into Puccini’s masterpiece that inspired the popular musical Rent.

Dorcas Giles is a chorus member for Arbor Opera Theater’s June 2012 production of La Boheme. She has previously appeared onstage with Arbor Opera Theater in Lucia di Lammermoor (2010) and Carmen (2011).
